ULIANO VEZZANI: EXPECTATIONS FULLY MET AT THE MJC. A SHOW WITH A GREAT FUTURE

“Bringing show jumping to a facility that is the temple of trotting and flat racing here in Italy is an amazing achievement.”

Uliano Vezzani, the chef de piste from Modena considered one of the best professionals in the world has technically speaking supported the Milano San Siro Jumping Cup project from the very beginning.

“I believe that this show will become really important at an international level. I was invited by Sara Riffeser, Show Director, to visit the location when the MJC was still in the planning stages and instantly understood that there were all the prerequisites for a great start. As far as I can see all expectations have been fully met. San Siro is a truly magical place. In recent years I have once again seen quite a few shows held on grass arenas and horses jumping really well on this kind of footing. It is another sport and one I personally consider wonderful. I will not be here this year because my professional commitments had been made some time ago, but I know that Paolo Rossato, who is an excellent course designer, will do a great job. The lockdown is not yet entirely over. Last week I was in Belgium and the show was held behind closed doors and the week end before that in Stockholm only 250 people were allowed in. We miss having spectators and let’s hope things will soon return to normal.”
