The Milano Jumping Cup is simply something that did not previously exist. It does not, however, just mean that equestrian sport is returning to Milan. Not at all. The Milano Jumping Cup represents a passion shared by many for one single fascinating idea that puts horses at the centrepiece of the stage. And above all it is the key element on a journey that starts from afar, putting the city at the forefront alongside a desire to see the Snai San Siro Racecourse as a meeting place for the Milanese, a sports and ‘theatrical’ facility capable of hosting all kinds of events ranging from music to fashion, from art to sport. Within this evolution Snaitech, the company that owns the racecourse, was convinced that this place of great hospitality could and should, by its very nature, become a sort of horse amphitheatre, a true ‘equestrian theatre’ and a park in which one could complete a project that would link together various sporting disciplines.
